Last Comic Standing Application
The Last Comic Standing contest will take place on Saturday, March 3 at 10pm in the Weasler Auditorium. Each applicant will be given 5-10 minutes to perform their set (exact time will be confirmed a week in advance of the show). Comics will be required to abide by the attached code of conduct, and will be judged on originality, universal appeal, and creativity.

Last Comic Standing Code of Conduct
- Comics must adhere to the guidelines outlined in this document as well as the student Code of Conduct that can be found in the “At Marquette” student handbook.
- Any violations of these policies or the Student Code of Conduct will result in automatic disqualification and may lead to student conduct proceedings.
- Comics will be given their set time prior to the performance and will be signaled when there is one minute left in the performance. Comics are not to go beyond the set period of time.
- Comics must attend all requested sound checks and informational meetings resulting from their application. Failure to attend these meetings can lead to automatic disqualification.
- Comics must present material that is there own. Accusations of plagiarism will be investigated and comics automatically disqualified.
- Comics must not use their time to degrade or “bash” other competitors.
- Comics are to refrain from presenting/performing material that contravenes the moral teachings of the Catholic faith or is contrary to Marquette’s Jesuit mission and philosophy. If any comic presents/performs such material, as determined solely by an authorized Late Night Marquette representative, Late Night Marquette reserves the right to immediately end the presentation/performance and the comic may be found in violation of this and the student code of conduct.
